Ben Merton – built the world’s first online, configurable 3D design automation tool for industrial enclosures using iLogic and parametric CAD modelling, resulting in my manufacturing business being able to reduce lead times on custom products from 3 weeks down to 5 days. It also featured an integrated custom Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) platform that reduced quote times from days to minutes. He spent more than 15 years in various operational and customer-facing roles at manufacturing companies in the US, India, China and Korea. Like anyone trying to solve problems in these environments, I attempted to use all types of software tools to drive operational efficiency.
